El León de Judá (parte 2)

¿Sabes que tenemos un poderoso defensor?

“¡Deja de llorar, que ya el León de la tribu de Judá, la Raíz de David, ha vencido! Él sí puede abrir el rollo y sus siete sellos!" - Apocalipsis 5: 5

A menudo estamos tan ocupados por la mansedumbre y la dulzura de Jesús que nos olvidamos de que Él es un rey, un gobernante y un poderoso. Normalmente no tenemos problemas para ver a Jesús como un cordero, pero es más difícil verlo como un león. De hecho, algunos de nosotros asociamos a los leones en la escritura con Satanás o con la destrucción del pueblo de Dios. ¿No fue Daniel arrojado a una cueva de leones porque desobedeció a Nabucodonosor? ¿No dice 1Pedro 5: 8: "... vuestro adversario, el diablo, camina como un león rugiente, buscando a quién devorar?"

Para las ovejas, que es el tema que Pedro está dirigiendo, el rugido de un león es aterrador. Aunque ciertamente es aterrador, el poder de un león no está en su rugido. Lion of Judah (part 2)

Do you know that we have a powerful advocate?

 “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” – Revelation 5:5

We are often so taken up by the meekness and gentleness of Jesus that we forget that He is a king, a ruler and a very powerful one. We don’t usually have a problem with seeing Jesus as a lamb, but it is more difficult to see Him as a lion. In fact, some of us associate lions in the scripture with Satan or destruction of God’s people. Wasn’t Daniel cast into a den of lions because he disobeyed Nebuchadnezzar? Doesn’t 1 Peter 5:8 say, “…your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"?

For sheep, which is the subject Peter is addressing, a lion’s roar is terrifying. Though it is certainly frightening, the power of a lion is not in its roar. Peter says that Satan is “like” a roaring lion seeking to devour and will devour any who are not in the flock of the Good Shepherd. Why would Jesus be announced as the Lion of the tribe of Judah?

This reference relates to Israel’s (Jacob’s) blessing of his son, Judah, in Genesis 49, where he described Judah as a lion and also declared him to be the ruler over his brothers. The lion became the symbol of rulers. Banners of kings have had lions upon them to show the strength of their dominion. In essence, the elder is telling us that the Worthy Lamb who he is introducing has total dominion and he backs it up with three more statements, which we’ll get into next Monday.

Focus: Do not be distracted by the roaring lion who tries to sound like he is the ruler of all. Keep your eyes on the one who truly has dominion; the Lion of Judah.

Sólo tienes que ver algunos minutos de las noticias para ver que el mundo está en gran angustia. No se necesita mucho estudio para entender rápidamente que estamos en un camino hacia el desastre. Puede llegar a ser abrumador e incluso hacernos llorar. Como cristianos, tenemos una mayor esperanza y no necesitamos llorar.

The Lion of Judah (part 1)

Are you grieved because of our troubled world?

 “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” – Revelation 5:5

You only have to watch a few minutes of the news in order to see that the world is in great distress. It doesn’t take a lot of study to quickly understand that we’re on a path toward disaster. It can become overwhelming and even cause you to weep. As Christians, we have a greater hope and need not weep.

John, standing in the throne room of heaven was hoping to see Jesus step up and take the scroll out of the hand of God. When John didn’t see anyone step forward, he was distressed. Was no one worthy to inherit God’s kingdom? Where was Jesus? What happened to the promise of the gospel? John saw no one and he began to weep.

One of the elders in the throne room then declared to John, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” This was the introduction that the elder gave for the Lamb, which John didn’t recognize, who would step forward and take the scroll.

Over the next four days, we’ll examine each of the parts of what the elder said as he announced the Lion of Judah.

Focus: Do not weep for our troubled world. God has appointed a powerful and worthy king who is in command of all that is taking place. His will is going to prevail.

Digno es el Cordero (parte 8)

¿Cuán abundantes son las bendiciones de nuestro Señor?

 "¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

Un crescendo, en la música, es cuando el volumen aumenta gradualmente en intensidad. Trate de leer este versículo de las Escrituras como un crescendo. Es como el anfitrión del cielo comienza hacia fuera en un tono más bajo y construye a un punto donde se abruman y estallan hacia fuera con la palabra final; ¡BENDICIÓN! Jesús obtiene TODA la herencia del Padre, que es Su bendición.

Cuando la Biblia se refiere a las bendiciones de padre a hijo, es la transmisión de la herencia del padre. Dentro de esa bendición está la acción de elegir a esa persona que debe recibirla. En el Salmo 2, cuando Dios se ríe de cómo las naciones traman una cosa vana contra él, y luego, en su ira dice: "He puesto a mi Rey en mi santo monte de Sión". En otras palabras, por Su derecho como Padre , Dios ha elegido quién recibirá Su bendición. Él ha escogido a Su Hijo unigénito para recibir las naciones y los confines de la tierra como Su herencia.

Nosotros, como los nacidos del Espíritu de Jesús, participamos en esa herencia. Compartimos el poder, las riquezas, la sabiduría, la fuerza, el honor, la gloria y la bendición de Dios. Heredaremos la tierra recién restaurada que vendrá después que Jesús venga a someter a la que vivimos ahora, tomar posesión de ella y restaurarla.

Enfoque: Al enfrentar los difíciles días que se avecinan, no dejen de reconocer que la bendición de Dios es abundante para aquellos que se encuentran en Cristo al final de los tiempos.

Worthy Is the Lamb (part 8)

How bountiful are the blessings of our Lord?

 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

A crescendo, in music, is when the loudness gradually increases in intensity. Try reading this verse of scripture like a crescendo. It’s like the host of heaven starts out at a lower tone and it builds to a point where they are overwhelmed and burst out with the final word; BLESSING! Jesus gets ALL of the inheritance of the Father, which is His blessing.

When the bible refers to blessings from father to son, it is the passing on of the father’s inheritance. Within that blessing is the action of choosing that person who is to receive it. In Psalm 2, when God laughs at how the nations plot a vain thing against Him, and then, in His wrath He says, “I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” In other words, by His right as Father, God has chosen who will receive His blessing. He’s chosen His only begotten Son to receive the nations and the ends of the earth as His inheritance.

We, as those born of the Spirit of Jesus, share in that inheritance. We share in the power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessing of God. We will inherit the newly restored earth that will come after Jesus comes to subdue the one that we live in now, take possession of it and restore it.

Focus: As you face the difficult days ahead do not fail to recognize that the blessing of God is bountiful for those who are found in Christ at the end of the age.

Digno es el Cordero (parte 7)

¿Realmente celebran el esplendor de Jesús?

 "¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

Cuando Moisés descendió del monte Sinaí llevando las tablas de la ley (Éxodo 34), el brillo de su rostro era tan brillante que tuvo que poner un velo sobre él porque cegó a quienquiera que trató de mirarlo. Ese brillo no era nada comparado con el brillo de mirar a la cara de Dios, sino sólo una pequeña chispa de Su gloria.

Cuando el ejército del cielo clama: "Digno es el Cordero que fue asesinado para recibir ... la gloria ...", se están refiriendo a la herencia de Jesús del esplendor de Dios. En 2 Corintios 3, Pablo habla de cómo aquellos que se encuentran en el Espíritu de Cristo son capaces de mirar a Él con un rostro desvelado. No porque el esplendor de Jesús no sea tan brillante, sino porque el nuevo pacto está escrito en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo.

Aunque la gloria es a menudo un sinónimo de honor, mira hacia la belleza brillante y poderosa y el esplendor del que está siendo honrado. Además, para gloriarse en alguien o algo, hay un sentido de alegría y regocijo; Incluso celebración. Cuando adoramos y celebramos a Jesús, estamos celebrando Su belleza y esplendor, que es poderosamente brillante.

Worthy Is the Lamb (part 7)

Do you truly celebrate the splendor of Jesus?

 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai bearing the tablets of the law (Exodus 34), the brilliance of his face was so bright that he had to put a veil over it because it blinded whoever tried to look upon him. That brilliance was nothing compared to the brilliance of looking into the face of God, but only a tiny spark of His glory.

When the host of heaven cries out, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive… glory…,” they are referring to Jesus’ inheritance of God’s splendor. In 2 Corinthians 3, Paul speaks of how those who are found in the Spirit of Christ are able to look upon Him with an unveiled face. Not because Jesus’ splendor is not as brilliant, but because the new covenant is written in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Though glory is often a synonym of honor, it looks toward the brilliant and powerful beauty and splendor of the one being honored. Additionally, to glory in someone or something, there is a sense of joy and rejoicing; even celebration. When we worship and celebrate Jesus, we are celebrating His beauty and splendor, which is powerfully brilliant.

Focus: When you celebrate Jesus, focus on His brilliant, blinding splendor and rejoice that through the Holy Spirit you are able to see Him without a veil.

Digno es el Cordero (parte 6)

¿Qué pasó con el respeto?

"¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

La única cosa que me hace enojarme y tropezar con la mayoría es la abrumadora falta de respeto que la gente tiene entre sí en nuestra época moderna; Aún más, la falta de respeto que muchos tienen hacia Dios. Realmente no debería sorprendernos que la gente no respete a nadie en nuestro mundo egocéntrico.

Jesús heredó el honor de Dios. ¿Qué es el honor? Como sustantivo, el honor es un estado de ser moralmente recto, honesto, noble, virtuoso y magnánimo. Jesús ha heredado todas esas cosas del Padre. Como un verbo, el honor es una muestra de respeto. El hecho mismo de que el ejército del cielo clama que el Cordero que fue asesinado es digno de recibir honor es una demostración de su muestra de respeto hacia Él.

En esencia, cuando nos vestimos en Jesús, estamos mirando una espada de doble filo. Debemos esforzarnos por ser honrados, pero no estar tan envueltos en asegurar nuestro propio honor que descuidamos mostrar el debido respeto por nuestro Señor. Si dejamos de mirar fuera de nosotros mismos y enfocarnos en honrar a Jesús, finalmente fracasaremos en ser honrados.

Enfoque: ¿Estás tan envuelto en ti mismo y en tus propias necesidades y deseos que fallas en honrar a Jesús? Usted no es el centro del universo; Jesús es. Más: 1 Pedro 1: 3-9

Worthy Is the Lamb (part 6)

What happened to respect?

 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

The one thing that causes me to become angry and stumble the most is the overwhelming lack of respect that people have for one another in our modern age; even more so, the lack of respect that many have toward God. It really shouldn’t shock us that people have no respect for anyone else in our egocentric world.

Jesus inherited honor from God. What is honor? As a noun, honor is a state of being morally upright, honest, noble, virtuous and magnanimous. Jesus has inherited all of those things from the Father. As a verb, honor is a show of respect. The very fact that the host of heaven are crying out that the Lamb who was slain is worthy to receive honor is a demonstration of their show of respect toward Him.

In essence, as we clothe ourselves in Jesus, we’re looking at a double edged sword. We should strive to be honorable, but not be so wrapped up in securing our own honor that we neglect showing proper respect for our Lord. If we fail to look outside of ourselves and focus on honoring Jesus, we will ultimately fail at being honorable.

Focus: Are you so wrapped up in yourself and your own needs and desires that you fail to honor Jesus? You are not the center of the universe; Jesus is.

Digno es el Cordero (parte 5)

¿Sobre qué construye su esperanza?

 "¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

"Mi esperanza está construida sobre nada menos

Que la sangre y la justicia de Jesús.

No me atrevo a confiar en el marco más dulce,

Pero inclínense completamente en el nombre de Jesús.

En Cristo la roca sólida que yo sostengo,

Todo otro terreno es arena hundida.”

Estas palabras, escritas en la cancion por Edward Mote (1797-1874), tienen un profundo mensaje en ellas acerca de la fuerza que Jesús heredó de Dios.

A menudo pensamos que la fuerza y el poder son la misma cosa, pero quiero hacer una distinción entre ellos, especialmente porque tanto el poder como la fuerza aparecen entre aquellos atributos que Jesús que heredó de Su padre. La imagen de Jesús como una roca sólida atestigua su resistencia. Esto atestigua su habilidad para soportar todas las cosas que están dirigidas a Él.

Jesús nos dio una maravillosa ilustración de este concepto en la parábola de Lucas 6: 47-49. Un hombre sabio cava sus fundamentos profundamente y los pone en la roca sólida. Worthy Is the Lamb (part 5)

Upon what is your hope built?

 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

“My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.”

These words, written by Edward Mote (1797-1874), have a profound message in them concerning the strength that Jesus inherited from God.

We often think of strength and power being the same thing, but I want to draw a distinction between them, especially since both power and strength are listed among those attributes which Jesus inherited from His father. The image of Jesus as a solid rock attests to His endurance. It attests to His ability to withstand all things that are directed at Him.

Jesus gave us a wonderful illustration of this concept in the parable of Luke 6:47-49. A wise man digs His foundations deep and sets them in solid rock. When the floods rise and beat against the house, it still stands. A house, which has its foundation in sand, in contrast, will be swept away.

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive… strength…” Jesus endures from everlasting to everlasting. Of what other person or thing can that be said? In what people and things do you place the foundations of your life?

Focus: Build yourself up as a house whose foundation is in Jesus, for when the storms of life hit you, you will need His enduring strength to remain standing.

Digno es el Cordero (parte 4)

La sabiduría de Jesús hace que el necio sea del más sabio de los hombres.

 "¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

Porque estudiar y absorver el conocimiento como una esponja, una de mis mayores caídas es que tienden a arrastrarme a los argumentos mientras defiendo lo que he aprendido. A través de la ayuda de Jesús, he podido ganar mayor control sobre mi deseo de debatir a otros y no ser atraídos a argumentos, especialmente los frívolos que no sirven para nada. Una de las maneras en que Él me ha hecho claro el error de mi hábito es señalándome que junto a Él, podrías poner lo que sé sobre el punto de una aguja de coser de una pulga.

Cuando el ejército del cielo clamó diciendo: "Digno es el Cordero que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir... sabiduría ...", estaban hablando de sabiduría omnisciente. Estaban hablando de la "preeminente" sabiduría, de la cual Dios estaba hablando cuando desafió a Job en Job 40 y 41. ¿Cómo podemos cuestionar a Dios desde una comprensión tan limitada de Él? ¿Cómo podemos rebelarnos contra su ley, negar sus promesas, manipular sus palabras, cuestionar su juicio, dudar de su guía o incluso presumir de tener alguna comprensión de él que va más allá de lo que nos revela?

Cristiano, Jesús heredó esa misma sabiduría y la cuestionamos diariamente. ¿Qué tontos somos cuando no comprendemos que las decisiones más sabias que hacemos son todavía tonterías junto a la omnisciencia preeminente de nuestro Señor?

Enfoque: Absorba la Palabra de Dios como una esponja. La rica sabiduría del Cordero de Dios debe ser tu carne, pan, bebida y aliento.

Worthy Is the Lamb (part 4)

The wisdom of Jesus makes a fool out of the wisest of men.

 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

Because I do a lot of studying and soak up knowledge like a sponge, one of my greatest downfalls is that I like to argue. Through Jesus’ help, I have been able to gain greater control over my desire to debate others and not be drawn into arguments, especially frivolous ones that serve no purpose. One of the ways that He has made it abundantly clear to me the error of my habit is in pointing out to me that next to Him, you could put what I know on the point of a flea’s sewing needle.

When the host of heaven cried out saying, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive… wisdom…,” they were speaking of omniscient wisdom. They were speaking of the “pre-eminent” wisdom, which God was talking about when He challenged Job in Job 40 and 41. How can we question God from such a limited understanding of Him? How can we rebel against His law, disbelieve His promises, manipulate His words, question His judgment, doubt His guidance or even presume to have any understanding of Him that goes beyond what He reveals to us?

Christian, Jesus inherited that same wisdom and we question it daily. How foolish are we when we fail to understand that the wisest choices that we make are still silliness next to the pre-eminent omniscience of our Lord?

Focus: Soak up God’s Word like a sponge. The rich wisdom of the Lamb of God ought to be your meat, bread, drink and breath.

Digno es el Cordero (parte 3)

¿Usted se deleita en la riqueza de Jesús?

 "¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

La mayoría de la gente mide la riqueza en términos de activos y pasivos, la cantidad de dinero que tienen en el banco y qué tipo de propiedades o posesiones materiales que poseen. Desde el punto de vista del mundo, los activos tangibles son lo que se transmiten a un heredero. Aquellos que tienen muchos activos se dice que son ricos. Algunas personas miden riquezas en términos de conocimiento, carácter, integridad, felicidad u otros activos intangibles.

En la herencia de Dios de Dios, Él recibe riquezas. Ciertamente gana todas las propiedades propiedad de Dios, que sería cada elemento tangible dentro del universo, pero también recibe todos los activos intangibles también. En Efesios 3: 8, el apóstol Pablo se refiere a ellos como "insondables" riquezas. Uno de los sinónimos de insondable es incalculable. Ningún contador, grupo de contadores o todos los contadores en la faz de la tierra podrían crear una declaración de valor neto para las riquezas que Jesús hereda de Dios.

"Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia" (Juan 10:10). Eso no significa que Jesús le va a dar un nuevo Ferrari, pero sí significa que Él va más allá de cubrir nuestras necesidades.

Enfoque: ¿Por qué luchamos con el hecho de que Jesús nos proveerá cuando sabemos que Sus riquezas son insondables y Él desea compartirlas con nosotros?

Do you feast upon the wealth of Jesus?

 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

Most people measure wealth in terms of assets and liabilities, how much money they have in the bank and what sorts of properties or material possessions they own. From the world’s viewpoint, tangible assets are what are passed on to an heir. Those who have a lot of assets are said to be rich. Some people measure riches in terms of knowledge, character, integrity, happiness or other intangible assets.

In Jesus’ inheritance from God, He receives riches. He certainly gains all the properties owned by God, which would be every tangible item within the universe, but He also receives all of the intangible assets as well. In Ephesians 3:8, the apostle Paul refers to them as “unfathomable” riches. One of the synonyms of unfathomable is incalculable. No accountant, group of accountants or all accountants on the face of the earth could create a net worth statement for the riches that Jesus inherits from God.

Our savior, Jesus, is worthy to receive those riches. Even better news for us is that He desires to share His wealth with us. “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10. (NKJV) That doesn’t mean that Jesus is going to give you a new Ferrari, but it does mean that He will go beyond providing for our needs.

Focus: Why do we struggle with the fact that Jesus will provide for us when we know that His riches are unfathomable and He desires to share them with us?

¿Sabes que Jesús es omnipotente?

 "¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

Cuando piensas en omnipotente, los siguientes sinónimos podrían venir a la mente:

·         Poderoso

·         Invencible

·         Todo-poderoso

Hay otra que puede o no, estar en tu lista y es la que vamos a enfocar hoy; preeminente. Alguien con poder preeminente tiene poder que está por encima y más allá del poder de todos los demás, pero hay otro elemento. El prefijo "pre" significa antes. Por lo tanto, dentro de la palabra preeminente se entiende que es un poder que existía antes que otro poder.

La omnipotencia de Jesús es preeminente en la naturaleza. Es el poder de Jesús que estaba con El antes de los cimientos del mundo. "Por medio de él todas las cosas fueron creadas;
    sin él, nada de lo creado llegó a existir." - Juan 1: 3 (NKJV)

Cuando todo el cielo adora a Jesús diciendo: ""¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder...", se refieren a la omnipotencia preeminente de Jesús. Es un poder que ha existido desde el principio. Es un poder que no tiene límites, no tiene fin y no tiene igual.

Cristianos, ¿por qué nos rebelamos contra un Señor tan poderoso? ¿En qué otra persona o cosa podemos encontrar algún poder para ofrecer un desafío al poder preeminente de Cristo? Como herederos conjuntos, podemos compartir ese poder, si sólo nos humillamos y permitimos que Jesús sea Señor.

Enfoque: Cuando te sientes impotente e impotente, recuerda mirar a Aquél cuyo poder es preeminente.

Do you know that Jesus is omnipotent?

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

When you think of omnipotent, the following synonyms might come to mind:

·         Mighty

·         Invincible

·         Unconquerable

·         All-powerful

There is another that may or may not be on your list and it is the one that we are going to focus on today; pre-eminent. Someone with pre-eminent power has power that is above and beyond the power of all others, but there’s another element to it. The prefix, “pre” means before. So, within the word pre-eminent is an understanding that it is a power that existed before other power.

The omnipotence of Jesus is pre-eminent in nature. It is the power of Jesus which was with Him before the foundations of the world. “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” – John 1:3 (NKJV)

When all of heaven worships Jesus in saying, “Worthy is the Lamb to receive power…,” they are referring to the pre-eminent omnipotence of Jesus. It is a power that has existed from the beginning. It is a power that has no limits, has no end and has no equal.

Christians, why on earth do we rebel against such a powerful Lord? In what other person or thing can we find any power to offer a challenge to the pre-eminent power of Christ? As joint heirs, we can share in that power, if we will only humble ourselves and allow Jesus to be Lord.

Focus: When you feel helpless and powerless, remember to look to the One whose power is pre-eminent.

¿Está su perspectiva de la gloria de Jesús al mismo nivel que la del cielo?

"¡Digno es el Cordero, que ha sido sacrificado, de recibir el poder, la riqueza y la sabiduría, la fortaleza y la honra, la gloria y la alabanza!" (Apocalipsis 5:12).

El punto inicial de confiar y hacer de Jesús tu señor es verlo desde la perspectiva del cielo. Durante la próxima semana vamos a profundizar en la fijación de esa perspectiva celestial en nuestros corazones y mentes, pero antes de hacerlo, pongamos la escena.

Juan, en una visión, se muestra una imagen de la sala del trono del cielo, que es similar a la del capítulo 6 de Isaías. Todos los ancianos y criaturas alrededor del trono están adorando a Dios. En la mano de Dios hay un rollo y su descripción se correlaciona cómo una herencia habría aparecido en el tiempo de Juan. La pregunta es: "¿Quién es digno de romper los sellos y de abrir el rollo? " - Apocalipsis 5: 2 (NVI). Con valentía, el Cordero se adelanta y toma el rollo de la mano de Dios. Cuando lo hace, todo el cielo entra en erupción en la adoración.

¿Ves a Jesús como uno igual a Dios? Cuando estés desanimado o en rebelión contra la voluntad de Dios, te haría bien recordar que tu Señor no sólo murió por tus pecados y resucitó de los muertos, sino que también recibió la herencia de Dios. Guarde la imagen de la audacia de Jesús al tomar la herencia de Dios de Su mano mientras pasamos los siguientes siete días examinando lo que Jesús heredó.

Worthy Is the Lamb (part 1)

Is your perspective of Jesus’ glory up to the same level as that of heaven?

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” – Revelation 5:12

The beginning point of trusting and making Jesus your lord is seeing Him from heaven’s perspective. Over the next week we’re going to dig deeper into fixing that heavenly perspective in our hearts and minds, but before we do that, let’s set the scene.

John, in a vision, is being shown an image of heaven’s throne room, which is similar to the one in the 6^th chapter of Isaiah. All of the elders and creatures around the throne are worshipping God. In the hand of God is a scroll and its description correlates to how a will would have appeared in John’s time. The question is asked, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and loose its seals?” – Revelation 5:2 (NKJV). With boldness, the Lamb steps forward and takes the scroll from God’s hand. When He does, all of heaven erupts in worship.

Do you see Jesus as an equal to God? When you are discouraged or in rebellion against God’s will, it might do you well to remember that your Lord not only died for your sins and was raised from the dead, but He was also given the inheritance of God. Keep the image of Jesus’ boldness in taking the inheritance of God from His hand as we spend the next seven days examining what Jesus inherited.

Focus: Who has the boldness to take the inheritance of God out of God’s own hand?
